I take a client-centered approach. I truly believe you are the expert in your life. Given this, together we will determine which one or more treatment modality/approach will best meet your needs. Below are some approaches I have been trained and find beneficial for the clients I work with.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy developed by Francine Shapiro in 1987, proven to support an individuals natural ability to heal using dual attention stimuli (DAS) while briefly bringing to mind a distressing event. We work to integrate and process past distress so it becomes simply a memory, no longer holding the distress, while connecting with newly created and enhancing pre-existing adaptive neural networks. It has been shown to benefit individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and addictions.
